Health minister denies possibility of numerous infected by the person with confirmed coronavirus

The person with coronavirus is not receiving any treatment, health minister Arsen Torosyan told the reporters today.

“He does not even have temperature. Luckily we had a patient with high civil consciousness who applied to doctor,” he said.

Asked why not all were tested, Torosyan said these tests are not intended for examining hundreds or thousands citizens, moreover, they may even give negative result in the initial phase of the virus.

He also rejected the variant that the infected person infected numerous people.

“We have found the circle of his contacts and isolated them. Even if these 32 were infected they would not have managed to infect others as well,” he said.

Torosyan also said there is no need to cancel flights from Italy.

“The decisions though are being made based on daily situations. Tomorrow other decision may be made not only regarding Italy,” he said.
