Virus should not be underestimated, but panic will not help either: NA Standing Committee chairman on coronavirus

Lack of masks in pharmacies is agreed with certain panic, chairman of the NA’s Health and Social Affairs Standing Committee Narek Zeynalyan told the reporters today.

“Of course, this situation must be treated rather seriously, but the created panic is more serious and may have more serious consequences than the decisions based on accurate data,” Zeynalyan said.

He noted that the situation related with coronavirus is under control, at the same time noted that the virus should not be underestimated.

“It is necessary to get prepared well, but at the same time there is no need to create additional panic moods,” he said.

As to necessity to postpone the campaign of constitutional referendum, Zeynalyan said it is agreed with the change of the situation.

“If everything will be under control and no other cases are registered. The situation during this week will show,” he said.
