Lawyer Aram Orbelyan sues Public TV, NSS

Member of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan’s defense team Aram Orbelyan submitted a lawsuit against Armenia’s Public TV and National Security Service.

Orbelyan demands rejection of discrediting information and compensate the harm.

The lawsuit will be examined by judge Naira Avetisyan.

Orbelyan’s representative Narine Beglaryan told Aysor.am that the lawsuit refers to January 30, 2020 cover of the Public TV which said as if in May-August 2018 Aram Orbelyan visited the CC periodically with the violation of order.

Orbelyan claims that the information does not correspond to reality.

“After the publication Mr Orbelyan applied both to the NSS and the Public TV with the request to provide the sources of the information, if they exist. But in essence he received no response as no one has provided such information,” Beglaryan said.
