Armenian NA convenes extraordinary session to discuss criminal and legal responsibility for violation of self-isolation and isolation regime
Armenia’s parliament has convened an extraordinary session today to discuss amendments in the RA legislation on criminal and administrative violations at first and second readings.
“The urgency is agreed with the coming week-end and about 600 self-isolated people. We offer to conduct first and second readings,” chief reporter, deputy justice minister Vahe Danielyan said.
NA chairman Ararat Mirzoyans said the NA Charter does not allow conduction of sessions after 11pm while tomorrow is Saturday and session cannot be convened either.
Mirzoyan urged to organize first reading today and the second on Monday.
My Step faction head Lilit Makunts noted that the NA Charter has gaps not being accommodated to working in state of emergency.
“During the state of emergency the NA does not have opportunity to work in emergency regime as the Charter envisages regular work,” she said.
Bright Armenia faction head Edmon Marukyan said that if all the factions are ready, they agree to work till late at night.
Head of State-Legal Affairs Standing Committee Vladimir Vardanyan said if the rules are not preserved while adopting a law it may create constitutional issues and urged to follow the NA Charter.
