Only main building of Surb Grigor Lusavorich medical center to be used for coronavirus patients, maternity house and policlinics to continue operating

On April 1 328 coronavirus tests were implemented of which 92 gave positive results, health minister Arsen Torosyan told the reporters today.

“The majority of them were in isolation or self-isolation. We also have new cases brought by our compatriots from abroad. We have revealed them quite early. The circle of their contacts is being clarified,” he said.

The minister said citizens with mild symtoms have been located in 16 hotel complexes and guest houses.

Torosyan stressed that 9 medical centers are fully engaged in treatment of coronavirus patients and added that the biggest medical center in Armenia – Surb Grigor Lusavorich – will either today or tomorrow take the biggest burden on it.

Torosyan said only the stationary building will be used, the maternity house and policlinics will continue operating as usual as they are far from the central building and there is no threat of spread of the virus there.
