Artsakh coronavirus infected sent to Yerevan for treatment
The coronavirus case in Artsakh Republic was recorded on March 30. The infected person returned to Artsakh from Armenia’s Artashat.
“Unfortunately we have recorded the first case of coronavirus. It is a resident of Mirik community of Kashatagh region born in 1957 who arrived in Artsakh on March 30 from Armenia’s Artashat,” Artsakh State Minister Grigory Martirosyan said.
He said the person was isolated on April 2 and was kept under control after information that the family members living in Armenia’s Ararat were infected.
“As far as the citizen is living in small village to reduce the risks a decision has been made to establish self-isolation regime for all the residents to stop the spread of infection,” Martirosyan said.
He said currently they are clarifying the circle of contacts.
Martirosyan also said the infected was sent to Yerevan for treatment.
