April war investigative committee to complete its work on June 4: Andranik Kocharyan

The members of the committee investigating April 2016 war circumstances addressed a number of questions to the third president Serzh Sargsyan, chairman of the committee Andranik Kocharyan told the reporters after the session.

“We have received answers to the questions, but for having a full idea we must listen to other officials as well. Mr Sargsyan gave us the name of the officials who can answer our questions,” Kocharyan said.

Asked whether Serzh Sargsyan admitted existence of some flaws, Kocharyan said “Yes.”

As to whether Serzh Sarsgyan’s answers resulted in new revelations, the chairman of the commission said, “In some regard yes, Serzh Sargsyan came quite prepared and delivered remarks before the works launched.”

Asked why Bako Sahakyan has not been invited after expression of wish to attend the committee’s session, Kocharyan said that besides Bako Sahakyan there are other officials in Artsakh as well who expressed such a wish and they will all be invited.

Kocharyan said the committee’s works are approaching to the final phase.

“We will complete our work on June 4,” he said.
