Artsakh air defense forces shot down Azerbaijani UAV which penetrated into Artsakh’s airspace

Artsakh air defense forces shot down Azerbaijani unmanned aerial vehicle on Tuesday, Artsakh Defense Army press service reports.

According to it, recently the flights of the adversary forces both training and reconnaissance in areas adjacent to the contact line of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Artsakh have become frequent.

“In addition to fighter jets and helicopters, UAVs are also involved, which unlike the formers, are often trying to penetrate into the Artsakh Republic's airspace for reconnaissance purposes,” the report said.

“One of such attempts was made today, on April 12. The Defense Army air defense divisions shot down Azerbaijani “ORBITER” UAV which entered Artsakh’s airspace,” the statement said.

“The Artsakh defense ministry calls on the Azerbaijani side to refrain from provocative steps and assures that any offensive actions will receive a worthy response. Materials from the wreckage of the UAV will be published later,” the report said.
