Catholicos of All Armenians urges to refrain from controversies and speculations

Mother See of St. Etchmiadzin press service issued a statement referring to the qualifications and assessments of Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan about the clergy in his live broadcast of April 20.

“These days, as our people are preparing in their prayers to bow to the memory of our holy martyrs perished in the Armenian Genocide, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, while in disagreement with given evaluations and expressed viewpoints, will abstain from reacting to those.

Ahead of the commemoration day for the holy martyrs of the Genocide it is the fatherly call of the Catholicos of All Armenians His Holiness Karekin II to refrain from controversies and speculations, and in the spirit of love, solidarity and unity intercede for our holy martyrs to the benefit of strenghtening our Morherland, overcoming the challenges in our national life worldwide and for the  prosperity of our people,” the statement reads.
