Row of resignations in Public TV continues following incident with PM’s scenes
Public Television Council issued a statement, expressing regret over the incident regarding the leakage of Armenian PM’s scenes before live address which resulted in the resignation of the Public TV’s executive director Margarita Grigoryan.
The Council said in the statement that it respects the decision of the executive director to bear personal responsibility and accepted the resignation.
With the decision of the Council, Armen Sargsyan, deputy director of TV’s creative affairs, has been appointed acting executive director.
Director of TV’s media service Petros Ghazaryan, producer of the TV company Vardan Hakobyan have also been released from posts after submitting resignation applications.
Deputy director Ruben Shahinyan has been appointed acting director of media service.
In the near future the Council will form a commission and declare a competition for the post of the executive director of the Public TV.
