Mikayel Minasyan’s lawyers petition interrogation of persons the actions of which resulted in unlawful accusation against ex-ambassador

Amram Makinyan, lawyer of former ambassador to the Holy See Mikayel Minasyan, referred to the statement issued by State Revenue Committee.

The lawyer stressed that “in parallel with the public appeal on “the secrecy and restraint of the preliminary investigation” it should have been also instructed for the “criminal case” starting from at least this moment be examined with maintenance of at least minimal procedural requirements of the Criminal-Procedural Codex of Armenia instead of officially declaring about the violation of the next law in particular – conducting of a search without having the decision for remand.

“As to the unprecedented fact of qualifying the transfer of legal money from one bank account to the other as “money laundering,” without description or citing the previous crimes, it is a bright proof of obvious order in relation to Mikayel Minasyan,” the lawyer said.

The lawyer said that instead of disseminating statements for media they petition to invite to interrogation at least the persons whose actions resulted in unlawfully accusations of Minasyan.
