EAEU member states fail to agree over gas supply price
The Eurasian Inter-Government Council discussed at its extraordinary session in video-conference regime on April 23 the issues in the Eurasian Economic integration development strategic directions for up to 2025 they did not agreed so far, Eurasian Economic Commission’s press service reports.
Over three issues the Council adopted the formulations developed by the EEC Council’s members on April 20 and 22.
The gas price issue in the EAEU common gas market will be settled on the level of heads of the member states.
“The parties agreed over three very contradicting, complicates issues. The first one is the liberation of international automobile routes, the second is the development of flexible mechanisms for target assistance addressed to the economic development. The third group of issues related to the cooperation in the health sector. A number of observations were made over the formation of gas supply price in the common gas market. Unfortunately, no agreement has been reached and no formulation has been worked out,” chairman of the EEC Council Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
The members voiced their position over the issue after which a decision was made to submit them to the Eurasian Supreme Economic Council.
At the May 19 session the leaders of the Union will approve the Eurasian Economic integration development strategic directions for up to 2025.
The next session of the inter-governmental council is scheduled for July in Minsk.
