Number of Coronavirus Cases Increases by 10 in Georgia
In the past 24 hours, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Georgia has increased by 10, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 496, Georgia Today reports.
4833 people are being kept in a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 571 are under observation in hospitals.
To date, 496 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the country, while 149 patients have recovered and 6 have died.
The above means that there are 341 active cases in Georgia, i.e. people who have been diagnosed with the virus and are currently being treated.
The country has confirmed the 6th case of coronavirus-related death yesterday.
The infected person, an 83-year-old man, was being treated in the First University Clinic in Tbilisi, and his condition was extremely serious. The deceased had other chronic illnesses along with coronavirus, including arrhythmia.
