Former commander of Artsakh Defense Army attends session of NA committee investigating April war circumstances, answers questions
Former commander of Artsakh Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan visited today Armenia’s National Assembly to answer the questions of the committee set to investigate the circumstances of the April war.
Speaking to reporters after the session, Mnatsakanyan said that he has presented the reality.
“I answered to all the questions the committee members were interested in. Each question had an answer. We have presented the reality, everything that happened during the April military actions,”Mnatsakanyan said.
Asked about possible flaws and whether they affected the pact of the war, Mnatsakanyan said there were no such mistakes.
To the question on how many hectares have been lost as a result of April war as it is being spoken about 400-800 hectares, Mnatsakanyan said, “According to our calculations, up to 400 hectares.”
As to whether he personally had a flaw, Mnatsakanyan said yes.
Mnatsakanyan refused to unveil the details while chairman of the committee Andranik Kocharyan urged to wait the conclusion of the committee.
Kocharyan said, the committee received frank answers to the questions and highly assesses today’s meeting.
“In the final phase of our work we had a very significant meeting. As a chairman of the committee I can confirm it,” he said.
