Armenia to pass to tougher restrictions if easing measures causes dangerous consequences: commandant
If easing restrictions results in dangerous consequences and the speed and tempo of spread of the infection grows to the degree of concerns that the health system will fail to serve all the patients, we will pass to tougher restriction measures than we had, deputy Prime Minister, commandant Tigran Avinyan said at the cabinet sitting today.
“For it, it is very important to strictly follow the set rules by the businessmen as it stems from their interests first. There is no need to be brave, but there is a need to be cautious, not to return to the previous restrictions,” Avinyan said.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that they may apply new policy, according to which only people needing medical assistance will be kept in the medical establishments.
“In conditions of new policy we will be able to serve 1,500 grave cases, of course, if few of them will need artificial ventilation devices,” he said.
Pashinyan said it is their duty to inform the public about the existing situation.
