Former NSS director files lawsuit against PM’s spokesperson

Former director of National Security Service Arthur Vanetsyan’s representatives Lusine Sahakyan and Aramazd Kiviryan issued a statement, reporting that they are filing a civil lawsuit against spokesperson of Armenia’s PM Mane Grigoryan for defamation.

Three days ago the spokesperson wrote that former NSS director, abused the official power and acquired shares of Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Plant belonging to former ambassador to the Holy See Mikayel Minasyan and the company belonging to Vanetsyan’s father became big cargo transporter of the ZCMP.

“The information in the statement of PM’s spokesperson has no relation to reality. The spread of obvious defamation information by the spokesperson of the leader of the state is inadmissible,” the statement of the representatives said, adding that they will use all the possible legal toolset to defend the rights of Arthur Vanetsyan.

“Each person spreading defamation must be hold responsible,” the statement said, adding that defamation working style must be finally be rejected in Armenia.
