Number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Georgia reaches 566
In the past 24 hours, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Georgia has increased by 27, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 566, Georgia Today reports.
Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, said that 13 of the 27 newly infected are from Bolnisi municipality, 1 - from Tetritskaro, 2 from Marneuli, 4 - from the quarantine area, and the remainder is being searched.
5243 people are being kept in a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 550 are under observation in hospitals.
The number of patients who have recovered from the illness has also increased- by 6, reaching 184.
To date, 566 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the country, while 184 patients have recovered and 6 have died.
The above means that there are 376 active cases in Georgia, i.e. people who have been diagnosed with the virus and are currently being treated.
Georgia has separate data of Georgian citizens brought from abroad for medical treatment, and the number stands at 3.
