Pashinyan offered me to pay symbolic sum, become apolitical and live happily in other country: Mikayel Minasyan unveils details

Former Ambassador to the Holy See Mikayel Minasyan launches video series where he will answer to people’s questions.

“I will tell everything you are interested in, I will present my visions, my ideas. I promise to be very frank and clear,” Minasyan said in a video posted on Facebook.

The first video started about the meeting with the former director of the National Security Service Arthur Vanetsyan.

“I met with the NSS director Arthur Vanetsyan at his initiative in 2019 in Rome. Vanetsyan has earlier reported about the meeting, saying that it was the instruction of Nikol Pashinyan,” Minasyan said in the video.

The former ambassador said that the former NSS stressed about the proposal they had to him. In particular, they offered to pay a symbolic sum and not appear in Armenia for at least few years.

“He also said that all the people relating to me anyhow must stop fighting against Pashinyan, that I must become an apolitical person and continue living happily in another place. He said that from the moment we reached arrangement all the criminal proceedings against my friends and my father would immediately be cancelled,” Minasyan said, adding that of course, the proposal was rejected.

“I have rejected Nikol Pashinyan's proposal, as I would have never forgiven me and I could not live well knowing that my people and my homeland are in this situation. Because unlike many, I have not predicted, I have clearly written and stated that we would face a great disaster. I can never reach arrangement with people I considered and still consider to be simply liars, irresponsible people who betrayed the people and I would even say who are the enemies of the state,” Minasyan said.
