150 additional beds will soon be used for coronavirus patients: Armenia’s PM
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presenting at the NA the report on implementation and results of 2019 government’s program referred to the coronavirus situation.
Pashinyan stressed that the first thing was the declaration of state of emergency, the restriction aimed at not allowing panic in Armenia. The second issue he said was to ensure that the health system is able to serve all the coronavirus patients.
“We saw that in many European countries the number of hospitals was not enough and the people were just being hospitalized in parks, under trees. We have hive times multiplied the hospital places making them from 300 to 1,500 and soon will have other 150 beds. Besides, we have prepared 600 beds in hotels for people without symptoms. We also have 2,300 places in hotels for isolating the people having contacted with infected person,” the head of the government said, adding that during this period over 6,000 people were isolated.
