What happened in the National Assembly today is hooliganism, political technologist Karen Kocharyan told Aysor.am, adding that the described “velvet” does not exist from the moment the public was divided into blacks and whites.

“If you remember it was not in May but in September. From that moment there was no velvet in the country,” he said.

Karen Kocharyan stressed the necessity to ask PM Nikol Pashinyan how it happens when his statements about public solidarity are followed with the beating of opposition MP by his team members in the parliament.

“I too find that people must leave in peace but for it steps should be undertaken. I think that till now contrary steps were made,” he stressed, adding that the authorities should have understood long ago that they are no longer opposition but they are the authorities and that they should have restricting mechanisms for their team members.
