Two years were necessary for Armenia’s PM to ruin the ideas, values declared by revolution: Bright Armenia party issues statement

Bright Armenia party’s administration issued a statement over the incident in the parliament on May 8, stating that the authorities not only failed to condemn the violence but justified, legitimated and encouraged it on the level of number 1 political figure of the country.

“The violence was justified with an attempt to tie it with some conspiracy “provocation.” Unfortunately the opposition’s criticism was described as despicable provocation with it encouraging naming those not agreeing with them as provocateurs,” the party said in the statement, adding that a situation has been created purposefully when the guilty of the violence is not the implementer but the victim.

“Moreover, instead of accepting own mistakes and regretting, it was urged to fight against the organizers of the made up “provocation.” What happened shows that only two years were necessary for the revolutionary prime minister to finally equalize with land and ruin the ideas, values and principles declared during the same revolution,” the party stressed.

Bright Armenia also described the PM’s speech manipulative, not based on any facts.

“The Prime Minister labels Bright Armenia as representatives of the previous authorities on purpose to justify the hooligan behavior of his deputies in the eyes of his associates,” the party said in the statement, adding that My Step deputies are presenting all their opponents as enemies of the people and state, as anti-state elements toward who the revenge is already “legalized.”

The party said it condemns the incident, stating that it is impossible to silence them and stop them on the way to state building even with the usage of force.
