I have never violated law and the Constitution: Ex-chairman of NA on his case
Former chairman of Armenia’s National Assembly Ara Babloyan speaking to reporters today after the court hearing of the case he and the former deputy head of NA staff Arsen Babayan are engaged said he does not understand what the case is about as he has never violated law and the Constitution.
“But I have understood one thing, I am accused because I am a doctor but I was elected chairman of the NA. As NA chairman I always new that I must ensure the normal work of the NA. This is why the NA has 650-member staff which prepares all the documents on the basis of which the deputies are working,” he said, adding that he received document from Gagik Harutyunyan and handed it to the staff which prepared a response on the basis of which he made his statement.
“I have never allowed myself to say do in this or that way. They did what the law demands,” Babloyan said.
As to the days, Babloyan said they are of no difference.
“My statement was published on 5th and according to the law in 7 days the second statement followed. The rest days they are stating about are just administrative untidiness having no legal grounds,” Babloyan said.
