Pashinyan: Quick formation of common energy market an urgent issue for Armenia
In the pre-context of global economic challenges all are facing currently, the necessity of quick formation of common market is a very urgent issue for Armenia, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the session of Eurasian Supreme Economic Council hold by video-conference format today.
“As I have noted many times the joint energy market must not be discriminative, it must become one of the basis of our integration. It is impossible to reach high-quality progress in the integration processes without it. The creation of equal conditions for the economic activity of all the participants of the union is impossible without it,” Pashinyan said.
“We are stemming from the circumstance that the draft on Strategic Directions of Eurasian Integration Development till 2025 must fix the principle of application of united approaches in pricing in the common market and setting the tariffs, including joint tariffs on services provided to natural monopoly entity during gas transit or supply. Our union must try to reach its goal step by step which in its turn will create favorable basis for deeper economic integration in the sidelines of the union,” Armenian PM said.
