Pashinyan is afraid of each opposition gathering like the Satan from garlic: Armen Ashotyan

Tens of activists were apprehended today both from Adekvad unity and non-governmental initiatives and political parties, among them members of Republican party’s youth wing, including their leader Hayk Mamijanyan, RPA vice-president Armen Ashotyan said live.

“To speak about the legal grounds of apprehension is simply ridiculous, you all live here and see that the so-called state of emergency is not “the end” of anyone. And in conditions of the complete mess caused by the failure of the government and Commandant’s Office to regulate the situation during these two months, only political and civil freedoms are being controlled and suppressed by the authorities,” Ashotyan said, describing the actions of the Commandant’s Office and the government throughout the quarantine as “shame.”

“It was a shame from upside down, and the information about few hundreds of infected daily testifies it. Unfortunately, Armenia, is becoming the black record holder and an exclusive country and government the state of emergency of who increased the number of infected,” Ashotyan stressed, adding that the state of emergency has been preserved to press the civil and political freedoms.

“We understand that Nikol Pashinyan is in panic. His yesterday’s hysteric live stream speaks about it too. He understands that expectations of hundreds of thousands of citizens have not been satisfied, and now he is afraid of each opposition gathering like the Satan from garlic,” he said, stressing that the incumbent government will be hold responsible for not fighting against virus but for fighting against people.

Ashotyan also said that the international structures the RPA is working with will be reported about the developments.
