Armenia’s health minister says 270 citizens under 18 and 23 pregnant women have COVID-19
In Armenia 270 citizens under 18 are infected with coronavirus, Armenia’s health minister Arsen Torosyan told the reporters today.
“Children have very light symptoms of the disease. As of yesterday we have 270 confirmed cases among citizens under 18, of which 2 have pneumonia but there is no grave situation or there threat to life,” he said.
Torosyan said 23 pregnant women have confirmed coronavirus infection. The lives of neither of them is in danger.
The minister stressed that the biggest risk of being infected exists among medical workers.
“We have 375 cases among the medical staff, including for instance ambulance driver, technician. It makes 6-7% of the infected,” he said.
