Artificial crisis must be created and extraordinary parliamentary elections be conducted: political analyst to Minasyan’s call
Political analyst Gagik Hambaryan does not think that the political forces will unite and replace Nikol Pashinyan with another person, but treats the call of ex-ambassador of Armenia to Vatican Mikayel Minasyan positively.
“The easiest option as of the moment is that the two opposition political forces of the NA put away their mandates by it creating artificial political crisis and extraordinary parliamentary elections be conducted in the country. There is no other way,” Hambaryan said, speaking to Aysor.am.
He said he has disclosed for him Nikol Pashinyan quite early, in particular, who he is, why he came to power.
“The people reveal it gradually. Unfortunately a big mass of people believe that Pashinyan will make changes in the country, while I consider it to be a fantasy. Pashinyan is not a person who wants to make any changes. He likes the Constitution sew for Serzh Sargsyan, and now wants to foster his position more in super-prime-ministerial Armenia,” Hambaryan said, adding though that if the chaotic situation continues, the political forces see that there is no other way, processes will possibly launch inside Civil Contract party as a result Nikol Pashinyan will be deprived of the post of the prime minister.
The expert though stressed that the majority of them appeared in politics thanks to Nikol Pashinyan and will hesitate to do it.
“Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia must put down their mandates and mechanically create a situation that 30% of opposition forces remain out of the NA and extraordinary elections be conducted in accordance with the Constitution,” he said.
Referring to other political forces, the expert said the problem is that all the leaders of the forces want to be the future leaders.
“While now we have a concrete issue – Nikol Pashinyan in the post of the PM. As far as our political forces put their ego first, Nikol Pashinyan makes use of it,” he said, adding that the consolidation of parliamentary opposition and non-parliamentary forces is impossible as there are some forces which are strictly against return of the former authorities.
“Many think that Nikol Pashinyan must not be a prime minister but their issue is that they associate Mikayel Minasyan with the former authorities,” he said.
Speaking about the crisis mentioned by Minasyan, the expert said that Armenia is in global crisis and what happens in the country is not normal.
“The relations between different layers of population are tensed thanks to the 2018 division of the public into blacks and whites. We have economic crisis agreed with coronavirus, we have foreign political crisis and the worst manifestation of it is the worsening of Armenian-Russian relations,” the expert said.
