Arthur Vanetsyan presents three options of change of power in accordance with constitutional order
Former director of National Security Service Arthur Vanetsyan who is the head of the Board of Trustees of Hayrenik (Homeland) Development Foundation has given an extended interview to Hraparak paper journalists.
One of the questions addressed to Vanetsyan was how he is planning to come to power. The journalist asked whether Vanetsyan will wait for regular elections or will reach extraordinary elections by generating other means. The journalist also asked what the ideology and slogan of the party will be.
In response, Vanetsyan said that it will be center-right party.
“I attach great significance to the traditional values and preservation of traditions, but it does not mean that the we will be a party acting in conservative field. Our prior idea and ideology will be highlighting state interest. Together with it, I attach big significance to the preservation of our identity, our national traditions,” he said.
Vanetsyan said they have not yet decided a clear slogan, but the ideas over which they consolidate may be described in two words – Progress and Traditions.
“We must always develop, progress with the world, but we are obliged to preserve our identity, our national traditions. As to whether the changes will be the result of the extraordinary elections or other situations, I can say one thing, I am for change of power iby exclusively constitutional order. Each violation of the constitutional order that does not stem from our laws is unacceptable for me,” Vanetsyan stressed, adding that according to the constitutional order, the most logical change is regular parliamentary elections, extraordinary parliamentary elections and the 3d option is that the parliamentary political forces initiate change of the prime minister and the government, and new prime minister is being elected.
