PM ignores public demand of consolidation, deepens the existing gap: political analyst
Political analyst Yervand Bozoyan said the demand of removal of Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has been voiced by the ex-ambassador of Armenia to Vatican Mikayel Minasyan and it will be right for this demand be brought into life.
“The issue of getting rid of this or that political figure is a subjective factor. One may like this figure and the other not. But why this issue came forth: usually leader of a country which is facing rather serious danger is trying to consolidate the country over him. The public too feels the demand of consolidation, people forget about the issues of the opposition and authorities, they want to consolidate to overcome the challenges,” the political analyst said, speaking to Aysor.am.
Bozoyan said Armenia is facing natural disaster but the leader of the country not only fails to consolidate the people but deepens the gap more.
The expert described it as a nonsense that should not have been done.
“I think that as far as he does not realize that a peculiar situation has been created when the political field and public need to consolidate to confront the danger and there is the wish of the leader to do just the opposite. Usually such opposite tendencies are being settled with the change of power or the country receives a big blow,” he said.
Referring to the post of the ex-ambassador, the political analyst said such demand exists.
“There is such demand, this demand has been voiced, but whether it will become a reality or not is agreed with many circumstances: how much the public is ready for it, whether our political forces are ready or not,” he said, adding that currently it is difficult to calculate these factors.
