Armenia’s health minister agrees that restriction measures in Georgia organized better
Armenia’s health minister Arsen Torosyan said at the online discussion today that the restriction in Georgia were implemented better.
“Georgia’s healthcare system and the anti-epidemic system essentially differ from our anti-epidemic system but not in its good sense. There is a methodological difference, including the choice of the citizens that are being tested in general. Besides, there is methodological difference on what tests are being calculated in Georgia as tests. I do not have 100% information… but more probably the 40,000 tests made in Georgia might not be PSR tests but part of them are rapid tests which we practically do not use because they are not reliable,” the minister said.
Torosyan also doubted the establishment of favorable situation after the tourism season in the neighboring country.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Georgia reached 723 as of May 22.
In Armenia as of May 22 the number of infected reached 5,928.
