Nine children, 6 employees of Mary Izmirlyan children’s house test positive for coronavirus
Nine children and 6 employees of Mary Izmirlyan children’s house tested positive for coronavirus, spokesperson of Labor and Social Affairs Ministry Sona Martirosyan told Aysor.am.
She said the media reports about hospitalization of 33 children do not correspond to reality.
Martirosyan stressed that overall 46 tests were made in the establishment of which 15 were positive.
“Nine of the infected are children, 6 are employees of the establishment. No one has been hospitalized for not having any symptoms. In the very beginning, a day before yesterday, one of the nurses had light fever and was immediately isolated and sent home. But we do not have the results of her test yet to say that she is the first infected,” Martirosyan said.
The fifteen coronavirus-positive patients were isolated inside the establishment.
Martirosyan stressed that since February 27 all the care institutions were in quarantine regime and the entrance and exit was strictly restricted. From May 19 the 24-hour long children care institutions were in completely closed regime.
“No one entered and left the establishment, no one had any symptoms. Only the mentioned nurse felt bad the day before yesterday,” she said.
