Do not ever try to speak to us in the language of force: Artsakh President responds to Aliyev
Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan referred in live video on Facebook to the statement made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“I don’t want to offend but it was not a statement worthy of a politician especially when he says that the force factor is becoming a priority in the world,” Harutyunyan said.
“Does it mean you have chosen path of solving the issue through force, Mr Aliyev? We are ready, and I want to assure you that the results are clear for us: you will have today what you had in 1994. Do not ever try to speak to us in the language of force,” Harutyunyan stressed.
“We are ready to settle the issue peacefully, through negotiations. Of course, the issue may be settled in stage-by-stage variant but only with one condition – first will be the recognition of right to self-determination, second – accepting the security guarantees after which negotiations will start. There will be no other way,” the Artsakh President said.
