Indifference of international community may untie Alive’s hands for unleashing new escalation in the region: My Step faction head

Azerbaijani side came up with military rhetoric few days ago. Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov in his statement accepted in essence that the 2016 April war was unleashed by Azerbaijan, head of the My Step faction Lilit Makunts stated at the NA today.

“The response to the aggression unleashed by the Azerbaijani side at any moment will be very strong,” she said.

The head of the faction stressed the importance of focusing the attention of the international community on such statements, as the Azerbaijani side always violates one of the three important principles adopted in the Minsk Group format – the principle of exclusion of force and threat of force.

“My conviction is that the international community, especially the international structures who are responsible for ensuring peace and during these days are coming up with additional statements regarding COVID-19 pandemic must not be indifferent over such statements as the indifference may untie Aliyev’s hands and unleash new escalation in the region which will have disastrous consequences for the very Azerbaijan,” Makunts stated.
