Georgia will not open borders for Armenian tourists
Georgia will not open border for tourists from countries where coronavirus is widely spread. This list includes Armenia too, head of Georgian National Center of Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze told in an interview with Pirveli TV.
“First of all the tourists will arrive from “green zone” countries. The Tourism Department is working in this direction. Bilateral agreements will be signed with countries having minimal risks. Certain procedures are being worked out on what tests a tourist must undergo before arriving here. Many countries have already introduced these rules. For instance our citizens who depart for Turkey for treatment must undergo PCR test not earlier than 48 hours before the arrival,” he said.
It has been reported that Georgia may operate “safe corridor” for tourists from Israel, Austria, Czech Republic and Ukraine.
