Armenia reports first Kawasaki syndrome in 4-year old child with COVID-19
Kawasaki syndrome in 4-year old child with COVID-19 has been recorded in Armenia, Armenia’s Health Minister Arsen Torosyan reports on Facebook.
“During the recent period in different countries the number of Kawasaki syndrome has grown with some agreeing it with coronavirus,” he said.
Kawasaki disease (KD), also known as Kawasaki syndrome, is an acute febrile illness of unknown cause that primarily affects children younger than 5 years of age.
The minister said taking into consideration the international statistics, the ministry has stored the immunoglobulin medicine necessary for treating this syndrome.
The minister urged to be caustious and keep all the hygiene rules.
