Armenia’s PM says flashmob on publishing cases of violations of anti-epidemic rules to continue with some “editing”
Each publication is a call and if this call is not confirmed it is much better, it means it serves its purpose, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a briefing today in response to Aysor.am’s question about the flashmob he announced and some inaccuracies in them.
“I want to bring just a concrete example, when an organization refuted a call, later in the evening it appeared that the same organization conducted a shameful event which was not only a gathering but there was also staged performances during which it was said that the event which was taking place at the moment was banned,” the premier said.
The head of the government also said that they have discussed the issue with agencies protecting personal data and in essence, all the citizens who placed their photos public in this way allowed all to republish them.
He said that in the same way taking video of police operation while apprehending a citizen without latter’s consent may also be viewed as a violation of his rights.
“On the other hand we have a public interest, we have legal interest and yes, I urge the citizens join the flashmob and with utmost protection of personal data publish all the cases for the work of the corresponding bodies be addressed and effective,” the PM said, adding that during this period they saw concrete examples and will continue the process with some editing.
