Wedding of the son of chief of Staff of Armenia’s Armed Forces stopped, police protocol formed

The police officers visited yesterday the mansion of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Artak Davtyan in Bagrevand where the wedding of his son was taking place.

“The police officers visited, warned and formed a corresponding protocol. The event was stopped,” head of the public service and media department of Police Ashot Aharonyan said, speaking to Aysor.am.

According to the media publications, deputy PM, commandant Tigran Avinyan too went to Davtyan’s department with the request of the PM.

Avinyan’s spokesperson though refuted the information speaking to Aysor.am.

Artak Davtyan referred to the incident saying that all are equal before law and if he made any violation he must bear the responsibility.

He also stressed that each person has right to personal life and territory and urged not to involve him and his family into political games.

Later though he changed the post, “Each person has right to have personal life. I urge some people, media not to enter into my and my family’s personal territory.”
