Actions of incumbent authorities to either result in unilateral concessions or war in Karabakh: former NSS director
Artsakh issue is the key issue in Armenia’s foreign policy and the most important issue in general, president of Hayrenik party, former director of NSS Artur Vanetsyan said during a program on Yerkir Media TV.
He stressed that the general security depends on Artsakh and each action over the Artsakh issue must be implemented very carefully.
“If to view different materials published in mass media, there are opinions that these authorities have come to hand or sell Artsakh. I do not accept such accusations, and I can state that the incumbent authorities are not aimed at handing or conceding Artsakh or not settling the Artsakh issue,” Vanetsyan said.
He though stressed that the incompetent governance of the incumbent authorities will bring to the point where Armenia and Artsakh will either have to make unilateral concessions or the alternative to it will be war in Nagorno Karabakh.
“Do we need these two developments? No, we do not. Still in 1994 the Armenian people did what they should – liberated our lands, and today we are just aimed at keeping these lands, building and developing them. But we see what developments are taking place, and we are really worried,” Vanetsyan stressed.
