Demand of PM’s resignation not on the agenda of Bright Armenia: deputy
Extending state of emergency is not a game, deputy from Bright Armenia faction Anna Kostanyan told the reporters today. She came out of the NA building to listen to the demand of advocate Ruben Melikyan conducting action outside the NA building with the demand of allowing people implement their right of peaceful rallies.
“I believe that the extension of the state of emergency will harm the economy,” she said.
The deputy said that if the dynamics of spread of infection is not reduced agreed with the state of emergency the extension of the regime is unnecessary.
Anna Kostanyan though said she does not agree with the allegation as if prolonging state of emergency has political purposes and is a restricting mechanism for the opposition.
“If the opposition intended steps against the prime minister, it would have been done it irrespective of the state of emergency,” she said.
To the question of Aysor.am whether Bright Armenia faction has on the agenda the demand of resignation of the prime minister and the government following the expression of no confidence to the government by the PAP, the deputy said, “I cannot comment on the logic of their steps and future tendencies. As of the moment such issue is not being discussed. Currently our agenda only includes the state of emergency and budget discussion issues.”
