Artsakh hero’s son pursues solution of issues of Shahumyan residents, restoration of justice
Son of the participant of Artsakh liberation war, Artsakh hero Shahen Meghryan, attorney Zinavor Meghryan wrote on Facebook that tomorrow marks the 28th anniversary of Shahumyan’s occupation, stressing that hence every day and every hour he will pursue the solution of their issues and restoration of justice.
Addressing the people of Shahumyan, he stressed that for already three decades the people of Shahumyan have been waking up with the dream to return to their homes, restore their livelihood there, cultivate the Shahumyan land and drink the water of its pure springs.
“It cannot continue in this way anymore, and today I raise the issue of returning the issues of people of Shahumyan and nearby regions on the moral, legal and political agenda,” he wrote, stressing that a lot has been done for years to see the liberated Shahumyan developing.
“Thousands of our residents tied their lives with the Armenian army. Many of them today as well serve in the possible geographically closest military units to Shahumyan region. Many do not spare effort to supply our soldiers with all the necessary staff, make their service more safe and easy. Many continue living in villages close to Shahumyan being convinced that in near future it will be possible to again return home. But it is obvious that all this is not enough for restoring the lost and restoring the justice,” he wrote, stressing that silent efforts, silent work and even more silent devotion seemed to give reason to think that they are not demanding, that they may be ignored.
“It is a big confusion that needs to be dispelled. Dispelled a day, an hour earlier,” he said, adding that he is speaking about their rights, their losses and the necessity to compensate the damages.
“Today I am speaking about returning Shahumyan issue on the table of negotiations and giving fair solution to it. I am speaking about our future,” he said, stressing that Shahumyan has what to say and what to do and urged the residents to act.
“Hence every day, every hour I will pursue that the voice of the residents of Shahumyan be more heard, their issues be settled and justice be restored. And let’s this very day become the new beginning of this most important work for all of us,” Zinavor Meghryan said.
