Advocate Ruben Melikyan demands returning citizens freedom of conducting peaceful rallies
Advocate Ruben Melikyan is carrying out an action in front of the National Assembly building against the restriction of gatherings.
“We demand that the freedom of conducting peaceful rallies be returned to the Armenian citizen. For already the fourth month the freedom of peaceful gatherings has been restricted,” he told the reporters.
Melikyan said that yesterday some European structures made a very worrying statements regarding Artsakh.
“Why now the citizens of Armenia cannot go to the office of the EU in Yerevan and conduct a protest action,” he said.
Ruben Melikyan said that authorities do not refrain from the attraction to adopt laws and conventions not relating to the state of emergency.
He said today the NA deputies have right and opportunity to demand lifting the restrictions.
