Gagik Tsarukyan is not arrested, will leave NSS building soon: attorney
Prosperous Armenia party leader Gagik Tsarukyan is not arrested and will soon leave the NSS building.
PAP leader's attorney Narek Aloyan wrote about it on Facebook.
Aloyan stressed that according to the Constitution NA deputy can be arrested only with the consent of the National Assembly or at the moment of committing crime, consequently, he said, there are no legal grounds for arresting Tsarukyan.
As to the interrogation, the attorney said it can’t last over 8 hours in one day. Besides, during this period the interrogated person must be provided break lasting for at least an hour.
The attorney also said the investigator is undertaking measures for Gagik Tsarukyan not to have any contacts so that the witnesses summoned in the framework of the same case not contact with one another until the end of the interrogation. So Gagik Tsarukyan’s freedom and personal immunity are not restricted and a while ago he will leave the NSS Investigative Department.
