Activists urge EU Ambassador to get prepared for political response (Video)

VETO activists carried out today a protest action outside the office of the EU Delegation to Armenia.

One of the members of the initiative Ani Hovhannisyan told the reporters that from early in the morning today the law enforcers have been carrying out unprecedented pressures against the participants of the protest action.

“Tens of citizens were apprehended without even any explanations,” she said, adding that they demand that the EU countries respond to the processes taking place in Armenia, to the violations of human rights.

“We qualify it as pressure against civil society,” she said.

Head of the Civil Consciousness NGO Narek Samsonyan said they want to remind the EU about political pressures taking place in Armenia.

“These people have lit a green light to Nikol Pashinyan’s authority. We urge the head of this delegation to get prepared for giving political response. Today the freedom of speech as well as being opposition is raped in Armenia,” he said.

Similar action was carried out by Adekvad union members outside the U.S. Embassy.

Founder of the union Artur Danielyan said they came to keep silence just like they keep it.

Danielyan and other members though were apprehended by the police.
