Armenian police apprehended 91 participants of action in support of PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan, deputy head of Police press department Edgar Janoyan told Aysor.am.
Tsarukyan has been summoned to NSS for interrogation.
The police are apprehending the supporters of the PAP leader who gathered outside the NSS building.
Police urges people to leave the territory due to coronavirus outbreak.
Speaking earlier the leader of biggest opposition party in Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan described the actions against him as political persecution.
“They want me to give up, they want to scare me. This is blackmailing, this is political persecution,” he said in the morning today when the NSS officers were searching his mansion.
The developments followed tough criticism Tsarukyan voiced in the address of the authorities, claiming that the inexperienced staff has failed everything and demanded the resignation of the government.
In a released press release, the NSS reported that criminal case has been filed on illegal gambling business and the damage to the state amounting to 29 billion AMD.
Besides, the NSS reported about the cases of distribution of election bribes in 2017 by the Prosperous Armenia party.
