Armenia’s Economy Minister, EU Ambassador discuss opportunities of expansion of Armenia-EU relations

Armenia’s Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan and Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin conducted a video meeting on June 15.

Deputy minister of economy Varos Simonyan was also present at the meeting.

The interlocutors discussed the challenges created as a result of novel coronavirus and the opportunities to combat them. The parties also exchanged opinions over the possible solutions of economic issues in the created situation and opportunities of expansion of Armenia-EU relations.

The interlocutors also touched upon the discussed technical and budget assistance programs in the sidelines of the EU’s assistance.

The parties also expressed conviction that with the joint efforts it will be possible to overcome the current challenges and the difficulties registered in the spheres of economy, healthcare and social protection.
