Armenia’s PM says reliable online voting system should be created
We must think of having reliable online voting system, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the session of the Constitutional reforms commission.
“We must think of having technological alternatives of election system in Armenia. Now, for instance we have appointed referendum which we cannot carry out because of coronavirus outbreak. At the same time there is a viewpoint that coronavirus will stay with us for rather long time and a very dangerous epidemic situation may be created in case of conduction of parliamentary elections, local self-governmental elections, etc. We must think whether we can have reliable online voting system the results of which will be as reliable as for instance the ones of our past parliamentary elections,” he said.
