Three opposition parties urge people, political, public forces consolidate over national-state agenda
Hayrenik, ARF-D and One Armenia parties issued a statement about the developments over PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan and the party.
“The developments over the leader of the biggest parliamentary opposition party Gagik Tsarukyan and the PAP territorial structures are painful proofs of the reality that not being ready and being unable to oppose the grounded criticism with content dialogue and for keeping power at any cost as well as for covering own failures the authorities are ready for any kinds of pressures,” the statement said.
“It is obvious that the politically motivated criminal persecution against PAP leader and the campaign of discrediting him started after the latter voiced political assessment about the full failure of the government and demand of the resignation of the government,” the statement said, adding that today’s discussions of the motions submitted by the Attorney General are bright proofs of it.
The statement also said that the with the mania to establish absolute rule of Nikol Pashinyan the authorities rejected any initiative of the political opposition to solve the issues the public is facing with joint efforts.
“In the country which faces domestic and foreign challenges, this atmosphere of pressures, intolerance and national split brings Armenia’s statehood in front of unpredictable threats and danger of losses,” the parties said in the statement, demanding that the incumbent authorities stop the repressive working style that deepens the crisis in the country and immediately return the processes to political dimension.
“We urge our compatriots as well as political and public forces to consolidate over national-state real agenda and with pan-national consensus and potential overcome the challenges our statehood is facing,” the statement concluded.
