Edmon Marukyan: Before applying to CC all other means must be exhausted

Head of the Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan said he applied to the Prime Minister a while ago to review the urge of the commandant’s office regarding the freedom of gatherings and give opportunity to voice complaint in masks and by keeping the social distance.

“This is a very fundamental right and it is very important for it to be realized,” Marukyan told the reporters today, referring to the initiative of the PAP faction to apply to CC to view the decision to restrict freedom of gatherings.

“It is very important for people to express their concern, but we have not received response from the PM yet. I think we should apply to CC after all other means are exhausted. Our position is that before applying to the CC the opposition forces may initiate any of the events of the state of emergency legal regime. Now we can convene a session with signatures. We are ready to come up with such initiative,” he said.
