PAP to apply to CC and initiate creation of ad hoc committee

PAP has initiated signature gathering for applying to the Constitutional Court with the issue of restriction of freedom of gatherings during the state of emergency, PAP deputy Iveta Tonoyan said.

“The PAP will come up with two initiatives – the one is creation of investigative ad hoc committee to study the circumstances of organization of works for prevention of consequences of coronavirus and the second is to dispute the restriction of freedom of gatherings in conditions of state of emergency,” Iveta Tonoyan said.

The PAP deputy urged the Bright Armenia colleagues to join them for gathering necessary number of signatures.

For applying to the CC, it is necessary to gather 27 signatures and for creating committee – 33.

“We are negotiating with the colleagues and I hope and I am even convinced that we will manage to bring these initiatives into life,” he said.
