We substantiated in the court political motives behind Gagik Tsarukyan’s case: attorney
PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s lawmaker Yerem Sargsyan said the court denied the motion on self-recusal.
“Today we have substantiated in the court that the case is being examined in the NSS illegally, and that the article under which the criminal case has been filed is subjected to investigation by the SIS,” he said, adding that the law clearly stated that only the SIS may investigate it and the Prosecutor General’s office has no right to change the preliminary investigative body.
Tsarukyan’s attorney also said they managed to substantiate to the court that there are political motives behind this case.
Yerem Sargsyan said that the PAP leader stated in court that he has no information about election bribes.
The attorney said there are no facts in the case that Tsarukyan knew about election bribes.
The court will continue the examination of the case tomorrow.
