Constitutional amendments not to be sent for president’s approval anymore
Armenia’s National Assembly approved today changes in the NA Regulation constitutional law which envisages not sending the Constitutional amendments for president’s approval.
Instead, the National Assembly chairman has a right to publicize them immediately after the parliament's approval.
With it, the institute of signing the constitutional amendments will be removed.
The bill was backed by 89 MPs.
The opposition factions did not participate in the discussion.
They boycotted the session and the voting.
